Unity

Prejudice kills union among the brethren

By Cathryn Ndyabagye

In all my travels around the globe; there is one thing that causes a country to lose its good name. Or people...

Prejudice...

Most countries I have been to are very welcoming and nice.

The greatest tragedy is prejudice.

It spoils goodness, and oneness in God.

If you want your country, your family, your community, to have a good name try welcoming, being kind and loving.

I know a few countries who are not that kind to foreigners. They leave visitors feeling unwelcome and do not act loving like Christians should.

One of the most important things to remember when having a guest go to visit you, is to make them feel welcome. Make them comfortable and enjoy their time. Learn from each other! It"s a great experience!

Some countries show prejudice by making fun of foreigners, don't accept, or get to know them. Always having something negative to say... They feel so alone and rejected. It makes it hard to be one in the body of Christ.

Favoritism is also another big problem.

If people truly love God and claim to know him, don't you think that applies to all of us worldwide?

Black, white, pink or purple; God made us to be one people in Christ.

We are all from God who created us. The love of God is not bias.

No partiality according to God's word.

We need to unite and become one more! Putting all prejudice aside.

Let's not listen to people who are putting others down in another country when they never went there.

Lets learn our self from the people themselves who live abroad. Hearsay is just gossip. It is prejudice to spread bad things about others when someone just mentions a lie. Think about it.

Just because a person has a bad experience with one person, doesnt mean all people are the same. We are all individuals.

We cant be expected to be like anyone but ourselves. Amen.

So to be real and transparent is the key. Treat each other with respect. No backstabbing or rumors allowed. They hurt people.

The Bible says, Prov 22:1 Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold.

Galatians 3:27-29 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

1 Peter 2:17 Rspect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God, and respect the king.

In conclusion:

Prejudice comes when you cant love everyone-Cathryn Ndyabagye
