Revelation

Revelation

Cathryn Ndyabagye

In the book of Luke 2:32, Jesus speaks, A light of revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.

God reveals his divine revelation to a person who is opened to hear from God.
He shows us revelation for a reason.

In the Oxford dictionary, the word revelation means:

A surprising previously unknown fact, especially one that is made in a dramatic way.

Also means,
The divine and supernatural disclosure to humans of related to human existance or the world.

God wants to reveal revelation to his children and the gentiles. He wants to bring us close to him and show us the deeper things of God.

Romans 16:25
Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past.

Paul shares how he wants us to know Him better...

Eph. 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so you may know him better.

Again Paul shares...

I must go on boasting, Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 Corn. 12:1

John was given revelation from God by revealing the book of Revelation to him.

Revelation 1:1 explains,
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.

You can read the entire book of Revelation to see what John saw.
